APEC Telecommunications and Information Working Group
The APEC Telecommunications and Information Working Group (TEL) was
formed in 1990. TEL is one of the most productive APEC working
groups and has a very strong private sector presence. It is very active
in promoting electronic commerce as well as fostering projects in online
security and PKI, telecommunications policy and regulation, broadband
dissemination and take-up, research and educational projects and many
other relevant areas.
The Ministry of Economic Development leads delegations to TEL meetings which, in recent
years, have included a number of private sector members as well as
officials from other government agencies. Meetings are usually held in
conjunction with a number of associated seminars and workshops in
topical areas which increases opportunities for making contacts and
bilateral discussions. Click here

Arrangement
Between the Government of the Republic of India and the Government of
New Zealand for Cooperation in the Area of Information Technology
An agreement was signed on 7 December 2001 to promote links in the IT
sector between the two countries with a view to leverage capabilities
and opportunities on both sides. Full
